Halo, Microsofts answer to nintendos Mario. For a good while, people have been waiting to find out what happens to Master Chief and what about the mesterious Flood leader, Gravemind? What does it plan to do with Cortana?

Story---6.5/10
The story for some reason at times really confused me, i had to look up on wikipedia just to find out what certain objects/locations were. Also, several key characters are killed during the story which in my opinion is a lame attempt by Bungi to lighten a pretty dull storie and use the over-used sad character farewell moment. The ending sucked ass and as usual left room for a possible spin of title to be introduced. I hate to admit it, but i actually enjoyed Halo 2 more than this.

Graphics---8/10
The detail actually passes for a next gen game. The models are average for what the 360 is capable of, but when movies play, thats when the detail shines. The cons to the detail is bad shading detail while the outstanding effects are the cushy lighting blurrs, which make you think awww during the first few levels, the first mainly. Graphics, however, do make the system Lag much like it predocessor, but not as much and is only a little bit annoying, the lag mainly during an area with a large fire fight or lots of enemies.

Controls---8.5/10
The controls for the 360 are what i really liked for Halo 3. LB and RB reload your weapons, RB if you are only holding one. RT fires while LT throws one of several grenades. A is jump, B meele, Y changes weapons and X deploys your equipment. Up on the D-Pad activates the torch, while the left analogue moves and right analogue moves the camera. Since i havent played Halo 2 for nearly 2-3 months, it took me about until the Second level to master them. You woulda thought Bungi would have used the other 4 D-Pad control directions for other items like night vision goggles, heat goggles, or a radio even that can be used a few times a level to call for backup. The X button is completly useless, along with the equipment for it, the only time i used the button was by accident during co-op main story play. So if you have played Halo before you will find the system change very refreshing, if not, it may take awhile.

Difficulty---6/10
The difficulty was pathetic, much much much easier than its previous games, i usally put the game on the easiest difficulty when going through the game the first time solo or co-op, but i thought id put it at Normal, and it played much like the easiest difficulty on Halo 2! Even the flood were easy to beat, despite i think i counted four new forms of them. I only struggled on the last level and a part when flying that plane that looks like a terminator jet against the Banshees

New Additions---5/10
The new equipment system is completly useless in Solo mode or Co-op play, you never need them. The only time you use them is if you are trying to get a high gamerscore etc for headshots, speedrun etc. Bubbleshield is gay, anything can get in and clobber you to death BTW.

The new weapons however, are pretty fun to use, but most of them push the oldies away, even my previous faves i found harly using, so it is a bit sad as weapon use is a bit low for the oldies.

the only good new Vehicle is that you can use the Phantom, the others are....lame, maybe except for the buggy and sand sled vehicles, they are good at not tipping over, but thats really it.

Then there is the new powerfull weapons, which put your camera into a 3rd person prospective when using. You can rip of any turrent and there are a few others, including the flamethrower. These are good for a go and when lots of enemies need smashing, but make you walk 1/2 speed and can easily be killed quick. As for the new grenades, i know what the flash grenade obviously does, but the others i am stumpped at, ill need to actually check the manual lol.

Lifespan---10/10
The game took me from 1:30 Pm until about 12:00 am today to finish, minus about an hour and a half for breaks, it took about 9-11 hours to finish.

Replayability---5/10
Id proberbly play it through once maybe twice more through and forget it. The multiplayer, of course, is extremly fun for Halo fans and Noobs, proberbly more so over X-Box Live.

Music---6.5/10
The music was extremly nice, but extremly soft in the background, the only time i was excited was when the main Halo Battle theme or the title opening opera music was playing. I was rather dissapointed that the battle music wasnt even remade or remixed, but it did sound like more piano notes were used. I couldnt even find options for the sound to change the music volume higher.

Overall---7.5/10
Your higher than average standard game, some parts normal and others make you want to jump for joy.

Other Notes---
It seems the main menu and other menus were very fugly and poorly made and basic, as if Bungi is just getting lazy and trying to cash in on there series.

Is the Limited Edition worth Getting?
I haven't checked my special disk yet but i can tell you the extra $20 or so more you pay is hella worth it. You get:
-High Def Halo

-Bestiarum- A nice and collectable little book detailing the species and cultures in Halos universe.

-Featurettes- Several short films ranging from making of features and interviews and documentaries.

-Nice Little Poster-
-Free 48 hr online play (need silver membership)
-Artwork on the disk and a dashboard theme and a version of a classic halo mini game.

This is just my opinion, dont go thinking the game is shit until youve played it.

The review could do with a little cleaning up, here and there, especially with Grammar and Spelling. Alot of the facts seem to be off, as well, especially because You cannot drive a Phantom, ever.

Also, alot of the article seems to be pure speculation and personal opinion/bias rather than an honest review. The Equipment Options are very useful when thought about and deployed with common sense, even the bubble shield which can be used to advance through fire, recharge shields, or simply wait out an onslaught.

Overall, this needs work.
