I stop posting for a measly six months and there's this crazy talk about Kobra's Realm being dead. Well, that talk is just that-- crazy.
It's true that I no longer have the time or motivation for making RPG Maker games. Sure, I beta test a few of them every now and then (Dragon Heart), but Crossed Realmz and All Things Sacred are just sitting there, collecting dust (to say nothing about Silent Cacophony).
But I'm not done with Kobra's Realm just yet; and neither is the rest of the staff. I'm currently working on something that a few of you might know about, but I'm not making anything official until I get it finished. I want everyone to be pleasantly surprised.
Not only am I working on that project, but I'm going to learn how to use Flash from one of my high school friends (she's going to college to be an engineer after this summer). This means I'll have plenty of time to make games (though not in RPG Maker).
What's my point? Kobra's Realm hasn't been abandoned, and Kobra's Realm isn't dead. Quality over quantity is my motto, and in a few months I'll have my project finished and it should more than make up for the past few months of not a damn thing.
tl;dr - KR isn't going anywhere, except up.

Well, it looks like there really hasn't been any new resources except for a RPGXP Characterset by Ravens_Glade

Things have been really quiet around here lately and sometimes the silence lasts for a few days, but it seems as if the ending of the school year has caused a little more activity here and that is something to be happy about! I know that school has been wrapping up over here so I'm sure that school is beginning to end for those of you under the age of 19 (which is most of you). The Seniors have already left my school and the last day of school for students is only a few weeks away. I've been passing out movie tickets to those who got A's in my classes and to a select few who I know tried very hard.  I'm sure the majorty of you all, who are in school, are waiting anxiously for it to end. When school ends, I become unemployed for a few months which means more time for me to screw around on the net, take a vacation to Azeroth, and maybe finish the games I've started.
Speaking of games, there is a really good contest going on in the forums that I would love for everyone to participate in! It is a Crappy Game Contest. Basically, you make a game about 15 minutes long and you make it as crappy as possible. Throw in cliches. Make the spelling horrible. Don't bother making the battle backgrounds match the chipset. Have fun making something terrible! I think that is something we can all enjoy and maybe get a few more new games into our archive.
Hopefully it won't be months until the next news posts, but if I (or someone else) don't post anything, I hope you all finish up the school year well and I hope you all make the most of your summer!

St. Patty's Day is soon approaching so for those of you who celebrate it, please be careful. No one wants to spend their holiday dead or in the hospital with alcohol poisoning.
With that out of the way, let's bring on the news. I know Kobra is thinking of implimenting the "5 Post Minimum" rule. Basically, those of you who have made 5 posts in the forum will be able to post projects and such. That way, we have people participating and not clogging up bandwidth. I was also hoping to get a game demo out before I posted this, so we can at least have a new game on the site, but I'm a little behind. Hopefully we'll have something by the end of March.
